Win $$ or a Free Zooniversity Program in Photo Contest

DALLAS, TX, March 16, 2009 – Zooniversity is looking for the best photos of our zoo crew in action! Entries are now being accepted for the Zooniversity Photo Contest. Winners will receive a choice of prizes, including a free Zooniversity program, cash cards, or a donation to the charity of their choice.
Surf through your photo files and send us your best photographs of a Zooniversity event that you hosted or attended. Send us your best images of one of our animal ambassadors, our zoo educators, or the audience members petting, grinning or grimacing! So, dig into those archives and you might be a winner!
Eligibility
Photos taken at any Zooniversity event (parties, libraries, scout meetings, school assemblies, preschool, daycare and camp programs, etc.) taken between 2001 and 2009 are eligible. No purchase necessary. Winning photographs may appear on Zooniversity’s website and/or other promotional materials.
Winning Entries
Three winning entries will be chosen. Zooniversity staff will judge the photos and the winners will be notified by phone and/or email. "First Place" winner will receive the choice of one: (1) one free 45-minute Zooniversity educational program; or (2) a $100 American Express gift card; or (3) a $100 donation to the charity of their choice. Two "Runner Up" winners will receive choice of one: (1) a $50 American Express gift card; or (2) a $50 donation to the charity of their choice.
Format for Submission
If you think it’s good, send it in! Submissions should include the name, address, phone number and email address of the photographer. If the date and location of the event in the photo is known, please include all details. Multiple entries may be submitted. Digital format only accepted: JPEG or TIFF files only, 300+ dpi; the higher the resolution and larger the images, the better, so please don’t save to a smaller file size.
Deadline
The deadline for entries is April 1, 2009, so act fast!

License
All submissions become the property of Zooniversity LLC and will not be acknowledged or returned. By entering the contest, you grant to Zooniversity LLC, and its successors and assigns, the non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual right and license to use, display, reproduce, publish, transmit, and distribute your photograph on Zooniversity’s website and/or in other promotional materials. Your grant and license shall also apply to any reprints or derivative works in any media or format, whether now or hereafter known, including without limitation other kinds of print media and electronic media. By entering the contest you also represent, acknowledge and warrant that (1) the submitted photograph is an original work created solely by you, and you are the sole owner of the right, title, and interest in and to your photograph, including the copyright; (ii) Zooniversity’s publication of your photograph as authorized herein will not violate or infringe any right, title or interest of any person or entity; (iii) Zooniversity’s publication of your photograph will not violate any right of privacy or publicity nor create any other liability in tort and that you have obtained a valid model release from any identifiable, individual person who is the subject of the photograph; (iv) you are not a party to and your photograph is not subject to any contract or arrangement that would conflict with your permission herein; and (v) you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Zooniversity against any damages, losses, or expenses occurring as a result of any breach of warranty.
