Our Animals

Our animals are the real wildlife experts—the best teachers of zoology and conservation you’ll ever meet. Here at Zooniversity, we are the caretakers of more than 50 species of rescued, exotic animals—most came to us as injured wildlife, former "pets" or rescues from deplorable captive conditions. In each Zooniversity program, a professional wildlife educator will introduce you to our living animal ambassadors and you’ll learn where each animal comes from, what it eats, how it survives, the threats to its survival, and other fascinating (or just plain weird) animal facts. We’ll also share the rescue stories and tragic histories of some of our program animals—because there is much more to learn about these beautiful creatures than just the textbook facts.
