Africa – "Tank," a big ol' lap-size tortoise from the African savanna who is barely half grown. Poor Tank—he was found wandering the streets of Dallas, but he now has a safe and protected haven here at Zooniversity. Gentle and great for all ages.

This species is on the CITES Appendix II List (may become threatened with extinction unless international trade is tightly controlled.)
